Responsible authorities work together to protect their local communities from crime and to help people feel safer. They work out how to deal with local issues like antisocial behaviour, drug or alcohol misuse and reoffending. Under the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Act (2004), the Community Safety Partnership has a statutory duty to create a Domestic Homicide Review in certain circumstances, to establish what lessons can be learned from a domestic homicide regarding the way in which local professionals and organisations work individually and together to safeguard victims.
