What to do with hazardous waste

Hazardous waste, including asbestos, must not be put in refuse (general rubbish) or recycling bins.

If you have paint to dispose of, find out what to do with leftover paint.

If you have clinical or medical waste, including used dressings and sharps boxes, please visit our clinical, medical and sharps collections webpage.

We also offer two collection services:

  • Household hazardous waste collections
  • Household cement bonded asbestos collections

Household hazardous waste collections

The booking of a household hazardous waste collection is temporarily unavailable until early December 2023.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
