Locality Awards
Locality Awards are a ‘light-touch’ Community Grant which allow District Councillors in Babergh to support small-scale community groups and projects or contribute towards larger projects taking place in their local area. Each Councillor has a budget of £2,000 to allocate. View Babergh District Councillors. Eligible projects range from improvements to community facilities and sports clubs to wildflower planting and the purchase of equipment for youth groups or community shops.
All applications must benefit the communities in which the funded activity is taking place, and full eligibility criteria as well as a breakdown of eligible projects can be found on our Locality Awards Guidance.

The application form must be completed by both the applicant organisation as well as a District Councillor, and we recommend discussing your project with your District Councillor prior to submitting an application.
