There are a range of grants and funding available for projects that aim to:
- improve the energy efficiency and environmental performance of community buildings
- improve green spaces and biodiversity in local communities
- grow food
The following support is available, and be used for the above sustainability measures:
- Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) - can be used for community building energy and carbon improvements
- Community Development Grants - can be used for energy, carbon and environmental projects
- Locality Awards - can be used for community building energy, and carbon and green space improvements
- Sustainable Communities Food Fund - can be used for food waste and growing schemes
- Trees, hedgerows and wildflowers scheme - can be used for supporting planting and growing on public land
